History:

   Founded in 2001 as a MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) device foundry, in 2006, the company changed its name to reflect its changing focus toward the fabrication of advanced microfluidic devices.  Scientia Microfluidics is located near the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and continues to maintain close ties.
